Electronics and Communication engineering is offered by Silver Oak University at the UG level leading to a
Bachelor of Engineering (4 years) degree. It is an amalgamation of pure Electronics and Communication
engineering involving research, designing, developing and testing of electronic equipment used in various
systems. Electronics & Communication engineering evolved as a profession due to the need for technological
improvement for better sustainability. This branch provides a strong foundation to students to be successful
This stream of engineering deals with analog transmission, basic electronics, microprocessors, solid state
devices, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, microwave engineering, satellite
communication, antenna and wave propagation. It also deals with the manufacturing of electronic devices,
circuits, and communications equipment.
The Department has state of the art labs like Center of Advance Networking and Cyber Security, NaviC Receiver
Lab (procured from the ISRO for research in communication field). It continues to dominate the engineering
sector with its various ever growing applications based on Robotics, IOT, VLSI, Home Automation and Global
Communication. Industrial training and internships are also a part of our curriculum. Regular training and
workshops are conducted by various field experts to have a good exposure and in depth technical skills among
students. The ECE Department prepares students to pursue leadership, technical, and management positions in
a variety of industries. Students have obtained placements at leading companies such as TCS, HCL, Cognizant,
Reliance Jio Infocomm, Lubi Electronics, Matrix Comsec, Magnetii Motherson, Jyoti Electronics, Toppr, PCB
Power, Sahajanand Laser, MSPL.
The EC department has signed up MOU's with industries and societies like Gujarat Innovation Society, Pratt
Muller Skill Development Center, Neo Fruition Technosol Private Limited, Credible Consultancy, Vedhas
Management Services, Talent Acquaintance, Beep n Tel, MicroWeb, ANP Solar Energy Solutions, Chahal
Academy, CANAM Group, Spyderwave Technologies. Through these research centered industrial liaison
programs students can work towards future technologies, innovation, entrepreneurship, creating patents,
employability, and skill development.
